Dr. Shah serves as the Medical Director at Melrose Animal Clinic, a small animal practice located just outside of Boston, MA. She brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her role, ensuring the highest quality of care for her patients and clients.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Shah completed her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. Eager to broaden her clinical skills, she completed a rigorous year-long internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, a 24-hour referral and specialty hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ.
Following her internship, Dr. Shah made Massachusetts her home and has remained in the area ever since. Prior to joining Melrose Animal Clinic, she worked as an emergency clinician at a local veterinary referral hospital, gaining extensive experience in emergency and critical care medicine.
Dr. Shah’s professional interests are broad and include emergency and critical care, internal medicine, preventative care and client education, ultrasound, and soft tissue surgery. She is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with her clients and helping pets live healthy, happy lives.
Outside of work, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with her husband and their beloved Labrador Retrievers—Lenus, Callum, and Fergie—as well as their two cats, Mozilla and Haggis. In her free time, she loves traveling and immersing herself in new cultures, discovering new restaurants, gardening, and baking.
