Dr. Cassan Pulaski (she/her) is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and the Parasitology Section Head for the Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. Originally from New Orleans, she completed her graduate degrees and clinical parasitology residency training at Louisiana State University, with a focus on the emergence of macrocyclic lactone resistance in Dirofilaria immitis. Since moving to Georgia, her research interests have expanded to include anthelmintic resistance in other companion animal parasites, as well as continued mosquito vector surveillance and geospatial risk modeling. In addition to her role as a clinical and diagnostic parasitologist, Dr. Pulaski enjoys teaching in all four years of the UGA Veterinary Curriculum, along with occasional general practice relief work.
