Susan  Mineo DVM, MBA

Dr. Mineo was born and raised in the Western New York area. She attended Medaille College and graduated in 1997 with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. Dr. Mineo worked as a veterinary technician while attending Canisius College where she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in biology, in 2000. Her career path took her away from home and to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in January 2004, followed by a Masters in Business Administration in 2007.

Dr. Mineo has practiced veterinary medicine locally since 2004. In 2014, she co-founded Alliance Animal Hospital and together with her devoted team, led the transition of the Broadway Street location in Lancaster to the new, proudly independent, Trinity Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Mineo is the past president of the Pet Emergency Fund from 2006-2015 and served on the board of directors of the Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society and the Buffalo Academy of Veterinary Medicine. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, as well as the Western New York Veterinary Medical Society.

Dr. Mineo has a passion for all aspects of veterinary medicine. Her primary interests include small animal and exotic medicine, with a special focus on cardiology. She also enjoys the study and practice of internal medicine, oncology, and diagnostic ultrasonography.

Dr. Mineo is passionate about client education and advancing evidence-based parasite prevention to improve the health of companion animals and optimizing the human animal bond. She is honored to serve on the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC) Board and enjoys supporting its mission of promoting parasite awareness and best practices in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Mineo met her husband Michael, at Canisius College, and they reside in Buffalo with their three children Andrew, Nora, and Anthony. The Mineo family also includes the most loved Boston Terrier, Violet. Outside of her busy work schedule, Dr. Mineo enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, skiing, and participating in a variety of outdoor activities. Dr. Mineo is deeply passionate about her profession and is committed to providing exceptional care to her patients and the families that love them. She is incredibly proud to work alongside the compassionate and dedicated team at Trinity Veterinary Hospital.
